Tastes like honey, whiskey, and maraschino cherry!

Each can is filled with 6oz of whole beans roasted at the Roly-Poly Coffee Co. HQ. By canning only 6oz of beans at a time, your beans stay fresh longer when you get them by the pound. Our cans are made of super-recyclable aluminum, so please recycle them!

Brewing Recommendations:

This is a fancy coffee. We recommend having it as a pour over that can highlight its delicate flavors. At the cafe we use a Kalita Wave flat bottom pour over, but this coffee spanks booty on Chemex.

About the beans:

Mrs. Grimanes Morales has been cultivating her coffee farm for more than 40 years. Her and her family are dedicated to carrying out all the work on the farm, each one of the members of the family performs a specific job. Her husband is in charge of administration and marketing, Mrs. Grimanes is in charge of carrying out the coffee processing (fermentation, drying and storage), Franclin, her son, supervises the harvest. Yocner, the youngest son, is in charge of quality control. This coffee is grown high up in the mountains of the La Coipa district at around 1750 masl. The group of producers that contribute coffee to this lot are unified by their concern for good environmental practices and awareness. The coffee is shade grown and the growing areas are well cared for and maintained the year round, involving proper weeding around the coffee trees and effective pruning of the trees to cultivate the best growth. Only environmentally friendly fertilizers are used on the soil here, and the pickers are well trained on only collecting cherries in their optimal stage of maturity. After the coffee is harvested, washed and pulped the coffee is fermented for 36 hours. After fermentation it is washed again and air-dried for 16-20 days in solar tents which both protect the coffee and maintain a stable atmosphere for the coffee to dry properly.
